- You want power? Try GNU-emacs, the most powerful editor ever... ;-)
-
- I use an old version, emacs 18.5? . It's very nice, is well integrated
- with the Amiga (AppWindow, AppIcon, Clipboard, Menus, ARexx port,
- etc). You need some RAM to run it, about 1MB + size of the files you
- edit, and it takes 2-10 MB HD space, depending on how much you install
- (I have a full installation, and thanks to the XPK filesystem, where
- I've put all lisp files and documantation, I need only ~ 4 MB real HD
- space).
-
- I used to run it even on my old A2000, it was a little slow, but still
- very usable.
-
- I've heard rumours about a port of emacs-19, but I haven't tried it.
-
- I recommend it highly.
